    YGCH SERIES FENDERS BY YANTAI TAIHONG

    YGCH cell fenders have a long history of use and still remain popular thanks to their simplicity, durability, and excellent performance.     Donut fenders are an effective solution for simple berthing dolphins, guiding and turning structures. These buoyant fenders float up and down a single tubular pile and rotates freely around its axis to help align or redirect ships.


    The internal casing is made of long-lasting, low-friction material and therefore needs only minimal maintenance. The foam used in such fenders is unsinkable, cannot be burst or deflated. It is made of durable polyurethane reinforced with nylon fibers. Donut fenders are custom designed for specific applications. They can have supplementary buoyancy for a greater contact surface.     Taihong has a PIANC conformity certificate for the following types of fenders:

    Tests are carried out in two stages: to prove the operating behavior of the generic fender type, and then to confirm that the performance of fenders meets the requirements.


    Type Approval Testing (Stage 1)
    PIANC Type Approval testing is carried out to determine the effects of environmental factors on the performance of various fender types. Taihong’s Type tests are witnessed by Lloyd’s Register.

    Verification Testing (Stage 2)
    CV verification testing is routinely carried out on all major orders to confirm the Rated Performance Data (RPD) of Taihong’s PIANC Type Approved fenders. Results are normalized to 0.15m/s compression velocity, 23°C temperature and 0° compression angle.

    Beside PIANC Type Approval, Yantai Taihong also has a Type Approval Certificate of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, meaning that its fenders can be used all over the world.
